If one is NOT expecting a trailmix bar or some gluten-free granola in the bar, this product would merit at least one or maybe two more stars. No grains of any sort are detectable, and I wanted something crunchy. On the other hand, if one is craving dates, this bar will satisfy the desire. I have given 5 star ratings to other Pure Bar flavors, but this one totally disappointed me. I wish I could return the box.

I love this bar when I want something smooth & crunchy (choc chips). When I just want smooth I eat the Cherry Cashew. Both are really yummy.

I am a raw vegan with a heavy load of health issues, including Celiac Disease and food allergies. I but rarely eat commercially prepared snack/nutritional bars because typically they don't meet my dietary requirements. I much prefer the nutritional bars I prepare myself but being chronically ill and disabled, I don't always feel well enough to go through the effort. But living in hurricane country on the Gulf coast of Florida, I do like to have some kind of food bar on hand in my hurricane pantry along with my other emergency supplies.

I was excited to find Pure Bar Organic Chocolate Chip Trail Mix, Raw Fruit & Nut Bar, 1.7-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12) and was not disappointed in the least. First of all, PURE meets all my dietary requirements for food bars: it must be organic; it must be raw; it must be vegan; it must be gluten free; it must not contain GMOs, preservatives, soy, refined sugar or trans fat; it must taste good.

These fruit and nut bars are wonderful! They are small but dense and quite satisfying although I could easily eat two at a time. They are moist, chewy, naturally sweet and have no added sodium. The chocolate chips are rich and flavorful; the fruits moist and soft; the nuts fresh tasting. The flavors are bright and nicely balanced without a trace of rancidity or moldiness, a problem I've experienced with other bars, such as Larabar.

The label is easy to read and contains all the nutritional information I like to see. I'm happy too that PURE is certified organic and a supporter of the Celiac Disease Foundation.

I stock up on Pure Bar Organic Chocolate Chip Trail Mix, Raw Fruit & Nut Bar, 1.7-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12) on a regular basis because I enjoy them often if not daily. I also keep plenty of brownie, blueberry and cherry Pure Bars on hand (and not just during hurricane season)!

PS ~ Contrary to another reviewer...I've NEVER had an infestation of bugs in my Amazon shipments of these Pure Bars and I have purchased many boxes, many times. Even if I would discover this problem (and I suppose it wouldn't shock me because I do live in Florida but I've never experienced it EVER with any food item I have ordered at Amaozn), I am sure Amazon customer service would make it right as they always do.

This is my favorite PURE bar - which is saying a lot, because I've tried 4 and like them all. This one is a great blend of flavors and a nutty crunch, it has become my breakfast staple.

I have tried several other of the PURE bars and really enjoy their flavor and overall taste! However, the chocolate chip trail mix is a disappointment. I like chocolate and thought this would be a nice alternative to the brownie bar, but it doesn't even have a hint of chocolate, at least in the common sense of chocolate. The flavor otherwise is decent and edible, but I would prefer one of the others if going purely on the name as an indication of taste. Especially if buying a full case of this, I would try to find a single bar locally and give it whirl first.

I have tried nearly every flavor. I love Pure Bars. Great quality and wonderful tasting. I do NOT like this particular flavor though.

I have been eating various types of food bars for years now. Up until I tried this bar I liked Clif the best, but now I think I might have a new favorite. There are very few ingredients and they are all organic and healthy. There is a nice mix of healthy fats, fiber and protein and it is good for either a meal or snack depending on how often you eat and your caloric needs. One warning, it is not a granola type bar with oats, it is more like eating a banana with nuts and chocolate. But the flavor is very good and the quality of the ingredients is top notch. So if you are looking for a good food bar, you might want to consider giving this one a try.

"Trail Mix" should have been the first two words because I don't really taste much of the chocolate chips, but otherwise this is very good tasting bar. I like most if not all of Pure Bar's products and this one doesn't disappoint: chewy, not too sweet, a little crunch from the seeds and nuts and very nutritious. I wish there had been more chocolate chips but that's just repeating others' observations. Overall, I recommend this and will get it again.
