I was very dissapointed to receive this book. I failed to realize this was two old stories reprinted in a new book. I failed to realize it was not a new story.Jean

I was so looking forward, to what I thought was a new Chocolate Mystery by JoAnna Carl, only to find, once I had received it, Chocolate To Die For is just two of her older books in one volume. I have all her Chocolate Mysteries so I do not need this repeat and it is going to be mailed back. I guess reading the fine print is very important and I will be much more careful in the future!!!

I did the same dumb thing! Wish I'd seen the reviews first and saved myself from making this mistake.

Well, you are not alone "Cindybear", I did the same thing. I was really disappointed when I realized it was 2 old stories in a book with a new cover. That really is a cheap shot!

Great reading and am looking forward to reading more. The style is an relaxing style but yet has you wondering who did it. BRAVO

I love these books and order each one as they come out. Fun and easy to read series.

Yeah, me too. I thought this was a new novel. Like a dork, I ordered it and when it came I was disappointed but also felt a little duped. I'll give it as a gift to someone so I don't need to mail it back, but what a drag. --- PJ

First of all, let me say that I am new to this "cozy mystery" genre, and have read all of one other Joanna Carl book. When I saw this book (especially at this bargain price; edit - at the time, the book was $2) I was intrigued. The 1.5 star overall rating almost turned me off. Luckily, I read the reviews instead of just passing this one up.

This book contains two previous Chocoholic mysteries, bound together in one volume (which seems to be the main complaint of the other reviews). I'll spare the synopses since they're in the description, but I was pretty pleased with this purchase. These stories are light, quick, fun reads. For me, they are perfect for "in-between" books and "I have no idea what I want to read, just that I want to read something" books.

So, in short, the stories are enjoyable. If you already have the series, you might not want to get this book.

Thanks to all the earlier reviews. Your reviews kept me from making the same mistake some of you made. I appreciate it. I won't be ordering this book.

Learned to check book descriptions - I didn't and ended up with a supposedly new book only to find 2 old books wrapped up with a new title. What can I add to this - RIP OFF - crummy way to sell books and it is happening more and more. Descriptions need to be CLEAR about this up front so we can put our book money in books we haven't already read!!
