I learned so much from Annmarie Kostyk's book, Chocolate is Healthy and the Chocolate Tasting class she conducted with this book as part of the class. I never knew that white chocolate really isn't chocolate at all or that dark chocolate is so beneficial to a woman's health. I'll keep this book by my side as a reference, as a cookbook (great recipes inside) and as a treasure full of information I can use to share with my family and friends to prove how healthy real chocolate really is.

My favorite part of this well researched book on dark chocolate is the recipe section. Now that fall is just around the corner I suggest you try making the Mayan Hot Chocolate. Something I have learned through the book is that there is a difference between hot cocoa and hot chocolate.Hot cocoa is made from cocoa powder, the dried form of cocoa solids, which are the nonfat components of chocolate separated from the fatty compounds, cocoa butter. Hot chocolate, in contrast, is made from whole chocolate--both the cocoa solids and the cocoa butter. If you have never enjoyed real hot chocolate, the difference is profound: A rich, thick, decadent drink. Think melted high-quality chocolate bars in a cup. Treat yourself to this book and enjoy all the great recipes!!
