I needed a stool for my walk-in closet to sit on while putting on stockings, tights or socks and buckling my shoes. I also needed something to stand on to reach high shelves. I looked all over the Web and could not find anything that was a sophisticated design and would match the quality of my apartment. This stool fits the bill. It's rich-looking and looks like a piece of furniture. It looks exactly like the image. The fabric is not too dark and not too light -- sort of a mocha color, and looks and feels like suede. While it's not rated for standing on, it is rated to hold 200 pounds so, since I'm almost half of that weight, it's very stable supporting me on those once-in-a-while reaches to top shelves. I highly recommend this stool for anyone seeking a stool that has the quality and appearance of furniture.
While putting it together was a cinch, I suggest using a power screwdriver.

I paid about $37 for this stool. It's really a cheap piece. The foam on top is really thin. You feel the hard board underneath after very little use. The legs want to come unscrewed, but they haven't broken off so far. I use this stool in a carpeted area and have to remember that it isn't on castors and be careful not to push laterally against it. It looks okay; it looks like a brown microfiber stool as pictured. It's not a high quality piece of furniture, but for light use or in a small space it works out okay.

I bought this for my wife to use at a vanity between two sinks. The size is just about right. The legs are dark and match our cabinets nicely. The cushion is adequate. It is better than anything available at this price. Easy to put together and sturdy enough.
