Book Description

Katrina Powell an African American and Monte Rivera a Puerto Rican were high school sweethearts. Their relationship came to an abrupt end when his mother got upset with him for dating a black girl. She gave him an ultimatum: Break up with Katrina or I will not give you money for college. Monte took the money.

Fifteen years later and one failed marriage under her belt, and a fiancée attached to his, Katrina and Monte run into each other and discover that not only is the passion and love still there, but it has intensified one hundred times over. They want to be together, but with Monte’s fiancée and his mother, it looks like they might not be able to reunite.

Chocolate & Pecan Swirl is a highly erotic novella that drenches readers with passion.

This book is as bad as it's title!!! The only reason I got it was because it got a semi good review and was only .99 but it's not even worth that. The writing is bad and the story is stupid, but not as stupid as the characters! Katrina has to be one of the stupidest characters ever created! And I think she's bi-polar to! Let me explain what I mean...(This may be a Spoiler to some (even though the whole thing is rotten to me.))

Katrina and Monte meet up again after 15 years at an ice cream shop. He invites her to lunch where they have the stupidest five second conversation as a way of 'catching up'. She decides to take him home and finish what they started back in H.S. On the way to her place we find out she has a B/F but is still willing to cheat on him. They get to her place and have sex (which isn't that good (he kept asking her over and Over again if she was sure she wanted to do this) and when he's finished he rolls off her n tells her he's engaged. Next you see her crying over it with her bff only to have her B/F show up (bff leaves) and she has sex with him (the BF) only to roll over when done and dump him!!

It only gets worse from there!!! Theres a scene whith the fiancé that is just horribly written followed by more horrid writing. I think it's a testament to a book when it's this short and I can't bring myself to finish reading it.

Save your .99 for gas money. That way you will actually get something out of it.

I don't even know where to start this book is so outrageous that I was compelled to write a review to warn future readers.

Pros: the premise of the story was nice long lost loves reuniting after 15yrs of seperation, lots of hot sex. however that's were it ends for me

Con: 1) both H/H are in exclusive relationships when they decide the start having sex
2) the story seemed unbelievable, the hero broke her heart when they were teens and the first thing she does is have unprotected sex with him on the first meeting
3) the confrontation with his fiance was sickening, the author portrayed the heroine as if she was the victim when the fiance had every right to be upset.

Look this is my opinion. And I cannot say that I have ever read any of the authors other works to do a comparison but I can truly say that I did not like this book I really could not relate to the story. It felt like a lust story then a love story. The hero was string the lady along, just NOT ROMANTIC at all. On the brigtside if your into the other women/ homewrecker romance then this might be for you.

Short, but sweet.
There is basically no plot other then a racist mom and bitchy fiance(rightfully so).
The sex scenes are hot and if you like multicultural romance this is the book for u.

I have always loved books. I distinctly remember my first board book, it was about a bunny and I carried it around with me constantly. I was six years old and have been reading ever since. It was only natural for me to become a writer.

I self-published my first novel, Bourgeois Blues in 1997. Since then, I was very fortunate to be published by Simon & Schuster. With Simon & Schuster, I have published the following novels:

One G-String Short of Crazy - 2009
Spiritual Seduction - 2010

I am very excited with the new trends in publishing and have decided to give digital publishing a try. Here is a listing of my E-books:
