Product Description

'Choice of Zombies' is an award-winning interactive novel where you control the main character. In each chapter, your choices determine how the story proceeds.

In a world overrun by zombies, can you stay alive long enough to get your friends to a place of safety? Will you keep your humanity intact or become a bloodthirsty zombie hunter? And will you discover the secret behind the zombie virus? The future of the human race is in your hands.

Heather Albano, co-author of 'Affairs of the Court', 'Choice of Broadsides' (2010 IGF Nuovo Award Honorable Mention), and 'Timepiece' has done it again in 'Choice of Zombies', winner of the 2011 IntroComp award, and written together with her husband Richard Jackson.

If you like gamebooks, you'll love 'Choice of Zombies'. Its unique approach to interactive fiction allows larger, deeper, and richer stories than traditional gamebooks. There are many different endings--good luck in finding them all!

Note: Contains material that may not be appropriate for children.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good interactive look at the Zombocalypse April 18, 2012
Verified Purchase
I've liked the other Choice games: Choice of the Vampire, Choice of Broadsides, Choice of the Dragon, Affairs of the Court. I also liked the insane Zombocalypse Now. I thought I'd give this one a try.

It starts out with the zombies at your house, and you start making choices for male or female, whether to get your car or sneak into the woods -- or whether you're a paramedic or a computer programmer. You can choose whether you're good with people or good with machines, as the story progresses. And you can choose whether to save various people, or whether you'll head towards a prison or a church.

All of these Choice games have offered a lot of variety and replayability, and this one lives up to the standards set by other other games in the series. If you like to be treated like a being of importance, the other games might be more to your liking. This is the Zombocalypse, and you're just trying to survive.

Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game with Endless Replayability July 22, 2013
By Drew
I have played some of the other interactive novels by Choice of Games. Affairs of the Court was an charming game with endless choices (if you hadn't guessed that from the authors name)interesting characters, and some laugh out loud moments. I figured I would try this one.
The game starts out like any other morning. You are tired, and didn't have your coffee yet. Then you see a man in your front yard chewing on what you are certain is a human leg. Oh god.
You are then offered your first choice of the game. Slip into your car or sprint into the woods. Depending on what you choose, the cast of charcters you met and the events and choices you can make will change. So you can replay thi game several times.
Now lets talk characters. After you make your first choice, the gam will take time to get some details on you. Male or female? First name? What was your job before the zombie apocalypse? Hobbies? Weaknesses? Dependin on your choices the way you perform later in the game will change. For example, if you choose hunting as a hobby, you will be more likely to accurately handle and shoot guns later. Cool right?
FOR THE PARENTS
This game would probably be rated pg if it was a movie. Its absolutely clean and appropriate, excepting the occassional cuss. When zombies invade, who thinks about language? I hope because I said that you dont think characters curse often and carelessly. No, there's only four or fibe curses throughout hours of entertainment. I promise!
SUMMARY
This game is fun, age appropriate, and totally replayable. In the words of my sister Devon "totally awesome!"
RECOMENDED FOR AGES 10+

5.0 out of 5 stars Beat them or burn them, they go up pretty quick July 1, 2013
I really enjoyed this little zombie adventure. My only complaint was that it felt a bit short, but not so much so that I felt that I was ripped off. I did re-play the adventure a few times to follow some of the different branches of the story -- thus getting some value and entertainment out of the purchase

4.0 out of 5 stars Great interactive storybook game June 12, 2013

I like shows like "The Walking Dead" & zombie movies so I thought this would be interesting storybook game to pass the time & I feel that I made a right choice. I like that the game gives you choices to make & has a different out come each time. I would like it better if it was a little longer & I would like it better if you could create your own profile right at the start & had more of a choice of weapons & items that you could take with you while on the run but all in all I really enjoyed it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy fun June 11, 2013
This is a fun game/novel hybrid. It is easy to play & very interactive. A great value! Some material is best for ages 12+ (i.e. moderate swearing, graphic violence.)

5.0 out of 5 stars The most fun I've had in a zombie apocalypse May 29, 2013
Verified Purchase
The hilarious and quickly moving story line makes this adventure game a heck of a lot of fun to play. It's totally worth the 2 bucks to play and has multiple, interesting endings. The characters in the game have a clear effect on how the story and plot plays out and whether your live, die or get zombiefied and eat your friends. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a fun little game to spend a couple hours of your time.
