Scott) and Marisa granger (Jaqueline Bisset) are happily married dispite the fact he is thirty years older than his wife. Their lives are thrown into turmoil when Terry (Melissa Gilbert), Evans nineteen year old daughter from a previous marriage returns home and confides to Marisa she is pregnant. Terry does not want her father to know she plans to have an abortion. Soon Evan learns her situation and forbids the abortion. Meanwhile, quit unexpectedly, Marisa learns she is pregnant. Evan now shifts 180 degrees and forbids his wife to have the child.

This is a movie of a father with two standards one for his child and another for his new wife when it comes to abortions. Good performance by George Scott and Melissa Gilbert.
