More doctors should recommend their patients at least try this product for three months before putting them on statin drugs to lower their cholesterol. My brother-in-law's doctor recommended this supplement and it worked for him. I had elevated cholesterol (217) and decided to try cutting my diet. I achieved a cholesterol of 216 for my efforts. I then went on Cholesterol Complete for six months, taking two for breakfast and two with dinner and lowered my cholesterol to 157. My good cholesterol went from 52 to 63 (over 60 is really good) and my bad cholesterol dropped. My doctor told me that he wishes all men my age (mid 40s) had my cholesterol numbers and told me to keep doing what I was doing.

I did do some research on this product and only one study found that the red yeast rice extract found in this product can cause problems with the liver in less than 3% of those that take it. The percentage for liver problems for people on statin drugs is higher. The fix to this is a once-a-year physical to draw blood and check for any liver problems and to checkup on your cholesterol levels.

In sum, I highly recommend this product (and just to be clear - I have no association with the company whatsoever).

I have been using this product for almost one year now and have seen great improvements in my readings.My cholesterol went from 249 to 129.My HDL went from 41 to 42 but my bad cholesterol LDL went down from 176.4 to 65.I feel great and I must say that you have to also change your diet and incorporate some form of exercise too.I have been walking for an hour at least three days a week and also do a little weights at home.Great product a must have and I don't take any statin because of the body pain I endured when I had taken it for a month.
