5.0 out of 5 stars Can't Complain!
I have very muscular calves (years of ballet and genes too) so I shopped around online for a long time to find a pair of wellies that would go over my calves with space to tuck in jeans. These are perfect! They're adjustable so if you are blessed with skinny legs, they'll fit just fine too. The shoe of the boot was a little more narrow than I expected. I wear a 8.5 and I...

1.0 out of 5 stars Wet feet !?!
I have worn these boots approximately 5 times. Overall they fit well on the foot, a bit wide on the ankle, and just right on my calf. I wore them today with the idea that they would keep my feet dry from the snow, puddles, and dirty snow left in NYC after the blizzard. I was highly disappointed that in walking a whole block my left foot felt wet. The shoes apparently have...

I wear a 8.5 and I bought the boots in 9. They fit just fine but I can't imagine wearing really thick, warm socks with them. If you want to wear thick socks, go an extra size up. Of course, like all wellies they smell a little bit at first. But if you just set them next to an open window for a few days, the rubber odor goes away. I really love these boots. They're sophisticated and simple but very fun to wear! I've received a lot of compliments already. =]

The shoes apparently have allowed water to seep in and wet my foot. I am going to write a letter of complaint to the company and hope for some kind of compensation for these obviously ill created boots.

Waterproof - maybe in dry areas but definitely not in NYC.

1.0 out of 5 stars horrible!!, January 16, 2011
This review is from: Chooka Women's Signature Solid Dual Buckle Rain Boot (Apparel)
These rainboots are not worth a penny if you ask me. i live in san francisco and i am a walker and a bus-er and rain doesnt change that! i got these rainboots last season and it was pretty close to the end of it. So i only got to wear them about 4 times. I was super excited to wear this season, remembering that they were super comfortable from the last. Not 5 to 10 times after i wore them, tears began to form on the right and left shoe on the outer bottom part where the ankles make a crease. Then another tear begin to form on the back seam and by my big toe on the inner seam. i got these boots for 75 bucks and although they are a bit cheaper, they are awful and i do not recommend getting these boots at all! to top it off, chooka was very rude and would not help me get a refund because apparently i didnt buy them from their direct store. i dont even remember what site i bought it from but they are responsible for the shoe so therefore they should have figured something. now they are in the trash and so is my 75 bucks! thanks a lot chooka! if i could have given them a zero i would have!

1.0 out of 5 stars LEAKY!!!, January 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These boots look good and fit great, they have a nice thick sole with good tread. I thought I had finally found the perfect pair of boots. Then the second time I wore them both feet leaked. What's the point of rainboots that don't keep your feet dry?? BIG waste of money. Next time I'm going to LL Bean.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubber Split After One Season's Wear, June 23, 2011
By

This review is from: Chooka Women's Signature Solid Dual Buckle Rain Boot (Apparel)
I purchased these rain boots in April of last year and wore them for walks when it rained. I loved them...for as long as they lasted, which was about one springtime season, and remember, I don't live in a geographic area prone to monsoon season. When I took them out of the closet this year to wear during springtime rain, the rubber began to split, all over the entire boot. There are splits that are vertical, and splits that are horizontal, I'm not sure if the rubber is just old or if these boots are only expected to last one season. I looked into sendng them back but my return date has expired. So, now I can send the boots back for a lesser amount PLUS I get to pay return fees for shipping.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of a boot, April 12, 2011
This review is from: Chooka Women's Signature Solid Dual Buckle Rain Boot (Apparel)
I bought these boots for their intended purpose: to keep my feet dry. I wore them about 3-5 times before I started to get freezing, wet feet. Shortly after I looked at them and the material split down the sides! on both shoes~ The same day! My friends made fun of me calling me ::swamp-feet:: I recommend spending the extra money for quality rubber.

1.0 out of 5 stars These boots will rip with minimal use!, February 5, 2011

This review is from: Chooka Women's Signature Solid Dual Buckle Rain Boot (Apparel)
I purchased these boots less than a year ago. The left boot has a large two-inch tear on the inner part of the shoe, by my toes. The right shoe is starting to tear now as well, but its tear is about half an inch. I live in NYC, so I've worn these boots on rainy days and on snowy days. I exclusively wear them during this weather, though, so I see no reason as to why the boots should be torn with such little use. The soles are still in good condition, but the huge tears on the sides allow water/snow to seep through, thus defeating the purpose of the rain boots. I was being thrifty when I got these, but like my mom says, "Cheap things are the most expensive" because you have to replace them over and over again. I'm just going to buy a pair of Hunter boots now instead of buying another pair of inexpensive boots. Trust me, DON'T BUY THESE!

3.0 out of 5 stars Only works for thick calves, December 12, 2010
This review is from: Chooka Women's Signature Solid Dual Buckle Rain Boot (Apparel)
The boots are actually OK looking and very basic for everyday rainy days, but only people with thick calves can pull these off. I even tried to wear them, but they were just too large for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars TOO BIG, November 14, 2010
This review is from: Chooka Women's Signature Solid Dual Buckle Rain Boot (Apparel)
You have to have really thick calves to wear these otherwise they are huge in that area and other than that, they are heavy! When I got them in the mail and tried them on, I felt like I was walking with bricks on my feet. Maybe not to that extent but you get the point. The calves were the biggest problem for me. TOO much room. Had to return them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Chooka Black Rainboots, December 14, 2011
This review is from: Chooka Women's Signature Solid Dual Buckle Rain Boot (Apparel)
I loved these boots because they are made to fit a woman's calf...a very tailored clean look. Problem: not duarable, unfortunately. Lasted 2-3 seasons of infrequent light wear. Both boots split up the back (rubber) seam. Also (both) the inner top front seams. And what's a rain boot if it don't keep out the rain? Not cute, soggy, and quite worthless really!
