From Library Journal
Mexico's low prices and warm climate have long made it an attractive retirement haven for North Americans. Its disadvantages have included potential political instability, economic upheavals, and health and medical concerns. The authors weigh these factors and sensibly recommend a short-term trial visit before making a commitment. They discuss the legal status of U.S. citizens in Mexico and the restrictions on buying real estate. They write briefly of each retirement area and note such things as public library facilities. This book will find readership in public libraries serving an older clientele. Harold M. Otness, Southern Oregon State Coll. Lib., Ashland
