Choose This Great CD,

As a long time fan, I've been waiting for this CD with mixed feelings. I've really enjoyed all of Point of Grace's CD's, yet would Leigh Cappillino coming in to replace Terry Jones make a huge difference? Furthermore, would the reported tweaking of their sound wind up giving us a bad CD? I'm glad to say the answer to both questions is a resounding no.
The attempts to change their sound are noticeable on several tracks, most noticeably "Down." It's got a fun upbeat sound that I just love. And the reminder that God is so far above us takes on a fun new flavor. I'm a sucker for any song dealing with the wonder of God being so much greater then we are, and "Who Am I," the second Point of Grace song with that title, fits the bill. This time, they wonder who we think we are to ever fully understand God. Realizing how big He is makes it easy to praise him. I also really like "Do It Again," a song about God's perfect timing in our lives to encourage us and remind us He's still in charge. "Waiting in the Wings" discusses the fact that God is ultimately in control no matter who seems to be winning. And the CD closes with a beautiful ballad about Heaven called "This is Your Land." Overall, the CD has more of an upbeat flavor then Free to Fly. Still, long time fans need not worry. This is still the same great Point of Grace we all know and love.

Great as always,

Point of Grace continues their string of great albums with "I Choose You". Their current single "I Choose You" is a bit slower than I expected from them but it's still a great song and will probably end up being their 26th straight number 1. My personal favorite is "Down", an upbeat song that really gets you toe tapping. If you're an existing POG fan, you can rest assured that you'll love the album as much as previous albums. If you're new to Point Of Grace, I'd recommend buying this album and if you like what you hear, buy their double album "24" which consists of their 24 straight number 1's and a bonus song "Day by Day" which went on to be their 25th consecutive number 1 hit.

Songs that will touch your heart,

Point of Grace is one of my all-time favorite bands and they did not disappoint with this newest release. They created a good combination of fast and slow songs. The lyrics are what have impressed me the most about this CD though. The first time I listened to "For All You've Done" I was in tears because the words are so moving and certainly something we can all relate to as Christians. The songs definitely move me to worship God and to be mindful of who He is and what He does for me every day. My favorites are "I Choose You", "Worthless", and "For All You've Done" but I really like every song on the CD. My aunt heard just one or two songs and immediately went and bought the CD! It's a wonderful CD and it will definitely bless your life and brighten your days. Thanks again, Point of Grace, for an awesome CD that keeps our focus on the One who matters most!

Point of Grace Demonstrates Why They Are The Best,
By
This review is from: I Choose You (Re-Issue) (Audio CD)
I've been a Point of Grace fan since 1999. When this cd came out, it was so good, I
bought all the cds of Point of Grace. I previously had three. I was amazed at how good this was and how good their first two albums were too. I also saw the tour for this album and met Point of Grace. They became my favorite.

I think most of you are very wrong. This is one of the best CDs that Point of Grace has ever put out. I like the hard rocking edge that they have added to their sound. I think that a band has to evolve and change a little as they grow and expand their music. Keep it coming!!!

A bit different for me, but I've always loved Point of Grace. A long time I've listened to music by them on compilations, so I decided to go out and get this CD.
I'm really glad I did too. It's amazing. The words, the music, as always, is amazing. As is every other album by them. I know it may seem strange in my plethora of other reviews, that here's a christian artist in there, but, yeah. It's a great album. The music is amazing, and that's what I look for. The title song, "I Choose You" is a favorite off the album. The harmonization is great and I just love the message that the song brings out. My favorite track off the CD has to be "Down". It's beautiful, serene, but then gets we get a taste of a bit of POG's harder side, as they sing about being able to get up from falling. If you are looking for a no nonsense Christian group. This is something for you.

Solid new release,

I was not disappointed at all with this purchase - they have a new member, and a somewhat different sound. It sounds like the Point of Grace we've come to know and love, with a modern rock sound layered over it (though it is by no means a "hard rock" album). The title cut to the CD "I Choose You" and "Who Am I" are the two best songs on this release. However, all of the songs were quite enjoyable (there are no songs I would call "filler" songs just to make the album longer). This was well worth the purchase, and their new sound is good - though part of me misses the traditional sound Point of Grace has had in their previous albums.

This is a different yet interesting sounding production touched by various genres. I kinda wish all the songs had the cosmic clubbing sounds.

Things Change,
This review is from: I Choose You (Re-Issue) (Audio CD)
I love this CD along with all my other POG CDs. They are still the same talented group that have been filling my heart with joy all these years. POG is going strong still using those angelic harmonies they have just updated their sound a little, but just listen to "All you've done, and This is your Land" and you have no doubt they still have it. I was sad that Terry left and wish her the best in this new chapter of her life. Welcome, Leigh. Girls keep lifting HIM up.

Point of Grace continues with their great selections of songs. Although there is a new member of the group, they continue with the number one hits.
I also predict this CD is going to come up with more number ones. |
