5.0 out of 5 stars Third of the Series, Engaging and Thought-Provoking, October 21, 2005
This review is from: Choosing to Kill: A Novel of Crime, Justice, and Conscience (Mass Market Paperback)
A novel of crime, justice and conscience, David O'Neal's "Choosing to Kill" is a thought-provoking third addition to this series of four. The two previous books, "What Goes Around" and "The Pact With Bruno" show how an innocent man can be caught up in the turmoil of crime and the brutal decisions that often accompany this lifestyle. Protagonist Doug Carlson, a Vietnam vet, has to fall back on instincts to cope with the brutality that he has witnessed in the past, and feels morally obligated to in the present. Is murder acceptable if the victims are criminals? Or, if they are above the law? What if they . . . are the law? You'll just have to find out yourself, in this third addition to the series.
