In Dr. Anstadt's book, readers are brought to the stark realization that God resides in all of us. As we look at each other we are starring into the face of God. Choosing Peace: Miracles are Decisions is a map for the personal journey of deepening your spirituality. Anstadt enables readers to draw closer to their creator using meditation, journaling, and visualization techniques (guided imagery). Readers are able to assess their journey by taking the Peace Quotient Survey earlier on and upon completing the book. The book is divided into 10 chapters that serve as mini workshops. Each chapter requires time to digest and contemplate before moving to the next one. While each chapter is important, chapter 6 which deals with forgiveness seems essential. Dr. Anstadt states that "without forgiveness, we fall into judgement". By forgiving we are forgiven allowing us to see a situation or others differently, prehaps in a loving way. This is a must read for those on the spiritual road of a greater understanding of God our creator. |
