I highly recommend this book. Even though it does not list every college we are interested in-of course-, it gives me such guidance in determining what questions I need to ask admissions directors when we visit colleges in the future. Thanks for a great product!

Detailed. Candid. Insightful. Definitely intended to help folks find strong liberal arts offerings as well as to understand what levels of bias against conservative views will be encountered. I would have liked more hard data to support the interviews. Excellent qualitative assessments.

We purchased this book among others in a quest for matching a college with our daughter's values and abilities. We visited a number of colleges in this book and the information contained within the pages are largely accurate. I realize that some individuals criticize the book in that it's ratings favor conservative institutes. This is not the case. The book rewards those colleges and universities that foster freedom of speech which unfortunately is missing in many of todays institutes of higher learning. It is unfortunate that to be liberal these days is not what it was 30 or 40 years ago as freedom of thought and exploration of different opinions is in many cases punished by the professors and unthinking students. In visiting many of the colleges over the last few weeks, I now understand the liberal origins of fascism.

Loved this book and highly recommend. The only problem is that it is not that different from the previous versions.

Highly recommend this book for any parent who has been out of college for several decades! We are finding this book valuable in evaluating potential schools for our daughter. The book is also beneficial in determining which colleges and universities to remeber with charitable gifts!

If you think political correctness is overrated, women should stay away from a college education (see page 95, I quote "...the engineering school is almost 70% male. This makes CMU a refreshing exception...), and you are very conservative, this is the book for you. The book gave us no insight of the quality of education you receive at the colleges. It describes the political views on campus and whether it has coed dorms or not (coed = very bad)

This source balances out the left-leaning guides that proliferate in the market. Therefore, get both and you will find that the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I found the book to be an excellent resource for future college students. Very good detail on explaining the plus and minus of each of the colleges listed in the publication. Provides enough information to help students add or delete schools they are planning on visiting.
I was surprised that it did not list some of the excellent engineering schools that my grandson is considering.
