Fabulous Idil, July 24, 2010

I hesitated to buy this disc as the Chopin Waltzes were on my list of overly familiar if I ever hear that again but the marvelous Idil has a force over me I can't resist. A student of Boulanger, Cortot and Kempf, she is for me, stupendous, writes very beautifully about playing Chopin and plays Chopin gorgeously. This has been my year to attain a deeper appreciation of his music. First class performances. I'll leave it to you nit pickers to find fault.
