THE BEST introductory Chopin CD out there,

This CD got me interested in playing Chopin, a composer who shaped my musical life in so many ways. Rubinstein is no doubt the best at interpretation of Chopin; each phrase is carefully contoured, every note played adds to the personality of each piece--from the emotional Ballade No. 1 to the pompous Military Polonaise. This CD is probably one of the best classical CD's ever assembled, and the quality of the recording is superb. Buy it--you'll LOVE it to death--I promise!

What a fabulous way for people who aren't familiar with chopin to get acquainted with him. Artur Rubinstein's Chopin is simply the best. The selections on this CD are wonderful and the RCA producers did a great job with the recording. If this disc doesn't sell Chopin to you, nothing well.
