This review is from: Chopin: Nocturnes; Preludes [United Kingdom] (Audio CD)
The amazing virtuosism of Francois is nothing compared with his ability to create atmospheres so filled with nuance and aristocratic refinement . He will never sound romantic , but classic and that is a great point to remark , due the timeless circumstance that Chopin has been always considered a chamber composer .The preludes are played with a sense of continuity and elegance and dramatism . The Nocturnes are sublime . Every track is an artistic triumph . Acquire this CD to know this great pianist so loved in Europe and not well known in America . Francois was a pupil of Cortot . |
