Each Choreganizer comes with 48 colorful chore cards that represent chores like feeding pets or washing dishes. The chores are brightly illustrated and explained on each card, making them suitable for even the youngest child. Each child has a chart, and the parents assign chores by simply hanging the appropriate cards on the child's chart. At the end of each day, if all the chores have been completed with a good attitude, the child is given tokens that can be traded for something at the Chore Store--a full-color, laminated "store front" included with each kit.

A Great Way For Kids to do Chores,

After trying many different systems and ways to get my 5-year old son to be involved in doing household chores, The Choreganizer has finally given us the success we've been seeking! Because this system relies on small cards with pictures of the chores, children do not have to be able to read before this system can be used easily. Also, because of the way the rewards are given, there is the daily reward of Dad Dollar or Mom Money, which has been a great incentive for our son. I also liked how she set up the Chore Store, which is open only once a week, so there is a learning of delayed gratification and saving of dollars. This has worked wonderfully for our family and I think would for anyone with children that need a reward system and aren't ready to read, although I see no reason this wouldn't work with older children who do read. It's been just great for us and we are extremely happy with the results. Give it a try!

Choreganizers: The Visual Way to Organize Household ChoresI originally bought the Choreganizers system about 20 years ago to use with my three sons. It worked like a charm! My preschoolers loved the Chore Store, and it simplified my life tremendously. I used it all the way into the teen years. Now my boys are all grown, responsible adults, but I have a 6 year old daughter. So I'm digging through all my boxes of stuff looking for my last remaining Choreganizer chart for her. I found MINE already, because it also worked wonders for helping ME remain organized!! I made up a list for myself and my kids of what chores need to be done when for reference, but I used the Chorganizer to post what we needed to do on the fridge. I made my own cards for chores like, "Cleaning the gutters," etc. (the kit came with blank cards for that purpose) It is a great tool for visual people!!
