4.0 out of 5 stars LOVED this song!
"Chorus" is one of my very favorite erasure tracks to date. The album itself was a corucopia of bleeps, blips and fabuluos melodies that emalgomated into one unforgettable CD. In this album, Vince went back to his roots with the Moogs, ARPs and other synths to craft one of the best, if not THE best, Erasure album in history. Now as for this single.......well,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks like there's some confusion
All the reviews here are for the *Album* which is also called Chorus. (There's also a limited edition of the Chorus album not listed.) But there was also a CD-Single called "Chorus (Fishes in the Sea)" which is this product. This is the product I am reviewing.

So, you get the album version which everyone knows and is a classic Erasure tune. You get the...

Now as for this single.......well, Youth could have done a better job with the remixes...the "Agressive Trance Mix" was pretty nice...and outdid the other 2. The B-side "Over the Rainbow" is a boppy little ditty and always makes you feel you good...check out the ABBA reference in the track. not many people know that. Want a fantastic "Chorus" remix? Look for the "Single Low End Mix", with a fabulous new bass line....check it out...or email me, i can send it to you! :) CIAO BELLA!

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorate Erasure song!, June 30, 2002

To me this song is about taking care of our planet. (Very Greenpeace) I love the lines,"And they covered up the sun until the birds have flown away and the fishes in sea have gone to sleep". The electronic beats and so forth, add a very ethereal feel to this song. I can see the smoke stacks, the gills of the fish in the water and the birds flying away everytime I hear this song. It has a very strong presence....and is the most compelling of all Erasure's songs.

So, you get the album version which everyone knows and is a classic Erasure tune. You get the b-side "Snappy" which isn't quite as classic, to put it nicely. You have various mixes of Chorus by Youth, which didn't quite tickle my fancy. Finally you have "Over the Rainbow," which is a great b-side in the synth-pop tradition of Erasure. It's worth it for this tune, and if you don't have Chorus (album version) already, it's a great intro to the Erasure sound.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice CD, but the remixes on it could be better, February 21, 2003

I bought this single back a long time ago, and I like the first song, but the rest of the CD could have had some better songs on it from Erasure. There is hardly any singing in them at all and one is just an instrumental. It's the singing that made this song not the harmony. Thank goodness love to hate you is better.
