Book Description

October 30, 2005
Angela Grubbs, a Christian attorney working in litigation, is faced with the case of her life when she is haunted by a series of vivid dreams. The dreams take her to the turn of the nineteenth century where she is living another woman's life. Angela, who spent her childhood as a fundamentalist Baptist in the Deep South, is troubled by the realization that these dreams could be of a past life. Determined to find out if the dreams are real or if she's going crazy, she secretly enlists the help of her best friend, also an attorney, to document the details of her dreams the only way she knows how- as if they are preparing for trial. Along the way, they unexpectedly amass the best objective proof in existence today that reincarnation is real and that sometimes dreams don't come true, they already are.

5.0 out of 5 stars Destined to become a classic case, November 7, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Chosen to Believe (Paperback)
A light and breezy cross between a personal memoir and a detective story as the author takes us along on her journey from being a Baptist fundamentalist to discovering documented evidence of her own past-life incarnation.

This case won't convince anyone who is determined to disbelieve, but for those who have had the kind of personal experiences that incline them to accept reincarnation, this will be yet another important piece of evidence to set on the shelf next to Captain Robert Snow's Looking For Carroll Beckwith and Dr. Bruce Golderg's The Search for Grace. If you enjoyed reading either of those two case histories you will love this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic first hand account..., October 30, 2005
This review is from: Chosen to Believe (Paperback)
I read this book in two days. It is a compelling first hand account of an educated and intelligent woman's search for her own truth, begining with dreams of a past life and ending with her research and travels to verify her memories. Along with the past life search the author addresses the basic Christian beliefs that many of us are taught from youth and, unfortunately, are too judgemental and condescending to fulfill a comfortable purpose. This book is *not* yet another second hand account or study of reincarnation by a PHD. This first hand account brings the reader directly into the mind and emotions of the author. This book will help those who are starting on their spiritual journey as well as those who are already aware and accept the concept of reincarnation of the human spirit. This book will bring tears to your eyes, this book will change your belief, this book will touch your soul.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT, November 1, 2005
This review is from: Chosen to Believe (Paperback)
Critics will say reincarnation can not be proven - Angela Grubbs would disagree.

She is a practicing defense litigator in the federal court system. She graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and International Studies and then attended law school at the University of Miami.

In her book, Chosen To Believe -- Angela shares the fascinating story of a young woman whose dreams lead her to a specific woman living at the turn of the century in America. Angela has documented her case, it is an amazing personal journey. I admire her efforts and her dedication to investigate and document the facts; facts that would hold up in a court of law. For those looking for proof of reincarnation, her book will amaze you.
