Chloe Returns..., June 8, 2005
This review is from: The Chosen (Nine Lives of Chloe King, Volume Three) (Paperback)
When 16-year-old Chloe King accepted the fact that she was the reciprocant of being half cat, half human, she never knew that it would entail so much hard work. But now, down to her eighth life, she's finally realizing where she belongs: at home with her Mom, instead of among her people, The Mai. Now, after a stint of living with The Mai for weeks on end, she is back at school, among normal humans, trying to catch up in her classes, figure out how to speak Mai for her formal introduction. Everything is hectic, but going smoothly, until Chloe discovers Brian, her close friend, and somewhat boyfriend - without the whole kissing thing. Brian is slowly bleeding to death in an alley, and that's when Chloe realizes for sure that the bloodshed between her people, The Mai, and Brian's people, The Tenth Blade, is not over. So Chloe decides to do the only thing she can: accept her destiny, the way it has been handed to her, and take control of the situation.
I have adored THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING series since book one, when we were first introduced to the sometimes rebellious, hard-headed Chloe King, and her close pals, Amy and Paul, and throughout the CHLOE...volumes, my love for the series has only grown. Fans of the previous Chloe King novels will love reading about her newest, and possibly greatest, adventure yet, and will find themselves grappling for the next book in the series - if another book is released.

This review is from: The Chosen (Nine Lives of Chloe King, Volume Three) (Paperback)
The book doesn't leave too much unsolved. The author writes out everyones reactions to almost all the situations. The ending is an open ending that lets you imagine what could have happened next. great book must read for the series. can't really be found in stores.
