5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting Journey into the Paranormal
In her novel, "The Chosen One," Kelly Wallace confirms her reputation as a novelist of great distinction. 3.0 out of 5 stars another sex novel
His hard body naked, his cinnamon skin wet and slick as hot water cascaded over him, her lips and hands exploring. Heard enough! I just like a book with a little more substance, but if you like a good "steamy novel", you should buy it.

This review is from: The Chosen One (Paperback)
In her novel, "The Chosen One," Kelly Wallace confirms her reputation as a novelist of great distinction. What I found especially fascinating was the intersection between the normal and the paranormal. Ms. Wallace roots the paranormal dimension so deeply within the normal context of life that it ends up appearing perfectly plausible. She accomplishes this "tour de force" without ever sacrificing the psychological complexity of her characters. The heroine is torn between her need for the stability of an ordinary existence and her yearning for adventure and risk-taking. The hero is deeply conflicted as well. On the one hand he wants to maintain his self-image as the invulnerable spiritual guide of his people; on the other he senses that he will never be a complete human being unless he accepts his vulnerability by falling in love. The story unfolds at a very brisk pace, and the style is crystal-clear and very evocative. A truly memorable read.
