Unlike the other editions of this book, this edition's guides to the individual festivals is only available online -- using the serial number printed in the book. If someone else has used your serial number, you will not be able to access the most valuable information the book has to offer. I've owned a previous edition, and was expecting to be able to access the same information, only updated. Now I'm out of luck. I wish the book description had included this caveat.

I really liked this book. It gave a great incite into what it takes to get into a film festival though a marketing perspective. When making a movie this is great for providing information on stuff to keep in mind if you want to make money on your movie. He talks about how to get into parties and what your press kit should have. I find this information really valuable when making movies and writing scripts.

The book has wonderful insight and debunks some of the myths. Very useful for those filmmakers out there trying to get their film into a festival. I loved the interviews toward the end. As a filmmaker it's always reassuring to hear others sharing the same struggles. Get this book before you set out to make a festival film. You won't regret it!
