About the Author

Jeff Gordon is a 1979 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and a 20-year sportswriting veteran. Since 1986, he has covered hockey and a variety of other sports for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Earlier stops included the Baltimore News American; Kansas City Magazine; The St. Joseph (Mo.)News-Press and Gazette; and, as an intern, the European Edition of Stars and Stripes in Germany.

He has written for a variety of other sports publications, including The Sporting News, Inside Sports, The Hockey News, Hockey Digest, Hockey Stars, In Your Face Hockey, College Sports, Sports Inc., Inside Hockey, Rinkside, Goal, North American Hockey, Baseball Digest, Football Digest, Lindy's College Football Yearbook, Joe Montana's Pro Football Yearbook, and Dick Vitale's College Basketball Yearbook.

He co-hosts a show on KFNS radio in St. Louis and has appeared regularly on KSDK-TV. Previously, he appeared regularly on radio stations KTRS, KMOX, and KSHE.

This book was really good - it showed his whole life. The pictures were great and the tips accurate. It really shows the life of a player and how hard you have to try to make it big. It was a great thing for me---you should check it out.

The worst thing about this book is it doesn't have enough pages...I found myself wanting to read more. There are a lot of tips for young players and some bio information which is interesting. The pictures are great, espescially the younger ones. Thanks to Chris for sharing them with all of us.
