To complain that this book is too short or not a thorough exposition of Old Testament prophecy is to miss the point, I'm afraid.

Mr. Chocheli's breathtaking artwork, surrounding and facing the texts, draws the viewer into contemplation of the Old Testament in light of Christ, Who is present throughout. In this book, we see on each page, in each illumination, Truth illustrated in ways it would take reams of text to convey.

Iconic representations of the old testament types for Christ are rare and usually inaccessible to children who are learning old testament bible stories. This book does an excellent job of visually expressing the role of Christ in sacred history.

As the other reviewer mentioned, this is NOT a book for adults who are interested in learning about the connections between Christ and the Old Testament. If that is your interest, check out "New and Old and God's Revelation" - also published by SVS Press. New and Old in God's Revelation

When I looked for the Amazon's product details for this book, I was surprised to find that it was a one page hardcover book!!! I thought this was a mistake until I bought the book and found out it is right. This "book" is a 16 paper (32 pages) book: 3 pages of cover and back, 15 pages of only nice color pictures and 14 pages of solely adjacent verses from the Old Testament and the New Testament. All contents of these 14 pages could have been included in one single page and could be read in 15 minutes.

There were no comments or explanations from Mr. Thomas Hopko who is known to be one of the best writers in Orthodox Church subjects. I found this to be very strange especially with such a controversial subject as the title indicates (specifically between Jewish and Christian theologians). The best description of this is that it is a book for kids and my recommendation is "do not buy it". I could not find less than one star to give it.
