Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

Answer the question, “Why should a publisher risk their money and reputation on my book?” I have published a number of first time authors. I have found that it is more risky to publish 2000 books for an unknown author than it is to print 10,000 on the first print run with a well-known author. The well-known author has a following and their reputation is what the buyer is buying. New authors break in by doing something that is fresh. Many break in because they have a ministry and their book becomes an integral part of the ministry. So, one of the most important areas to address is how you as a writer will attract a following. If an editor can not convince the marketing staff that your book will sell enough copies to be profitable, they will not be able to publish it. You need to spend enough time planning how you can help the publisher creatively and profitably promote your work. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to Use and Accurate!, August 9, 2000
By
Kathy D. (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
The most important thing about using a writers' marketing guide is accuracy, so a writer doesn't have to waste time and money sending to the wrong place or submitting their work to a company that really doesn't want it! This book is very accurate and up-to-date. It's also very focused and helpful for the "book" writer. If writing manuscripts is your talent, why spend more for a book full of information you don't need? This book has everything a Christian book writer needs to find a publisher and submit your work. I highly recommend it!
