A good start,
This review is from: Christian Ethics in Plain Language (Plain Language Series) (Paperback)
This is a good starter book for defending the faith. Stumped by questions from secular progressives? This book will give you a nice working vocabulary. My personal recommendation is to read this in conjuction with other books with more of a historical slant, because so much of Christian ethics is rooted in historical need for those same ethics. That America has lost its historical record is a reason we find ourselves sliding down a slope of hopelessness.

Kerby Anderson is familiar with the current ethical issues facing our culture. As National Director for Probe Ministries and host of the national radio program Point of View, Anderson talks about the issues everyday. This book examines those issues, giving the factual concepts necessary to understand each one as well as the biblical perspective supported with sound biblical principles and Scriptures. While a person doesn't have to agree with Anderson's conclusions on each issue, he'd at least better come prepared to counter the reasonable presentation offered in this book.
The book is laid out very nicely. Anderson begins with an examination of the issue of ethics - why are we even talking about these issues, what are the various worldviews or thought systems to examine and compare, and what is the foundation upon which each worldview rests. Then Anderson dives into the issues beginning with abortion and other ethical issues related to the concept of life and death including euthanasia, genetic engineering, artificial reproduction, sexual ethics, and pornography. Closely related to these topics are ones that address the issue of marriage and the family - homosexuality, cohabitation, adultery and divorce. Anderson then tackles crime and capital punishment, drugs, gambling, race and racial issues, technology and the environment, media and entertainment and finishes with government and civil disobedience. At just over 200 pages, the book is not a difficult read and should be easy to digest for high school students and above. The information and facts presented are current and relevant and the biblical perspective given by Anderson in each chapter is compelling, persuasive, yet concise. I would recommend this book as an excellent read and resource for every Christian looking to enhance their worldview and understanding of the critical issues of our day.

It is an easy read. The author is knowledgeable of the subject. It is a handy guide book for personal and professional life. The application processes can be used to prepare lessons or Inspirational messages; as well as plain talk when providing guidance or advice to a non-believer or believer. It is useful fool. Many who are on this road of servanthood for Christ need to be able to explain how to be an example in a sinful world; this text clearly explains the step on how-to and how not-to be.
