If you are an animal lover, this story will affect you profoundly. If you are not, you will be converted, and you, too, will be affected profoundly. This DVD is actual film footage with narration, making it all the more amazing. It provides undeniable proof, for those who need it, that wild animals possess intelligence and character, as well as the capacity for great affection.

There is some much-needed evidence that the world has some good human beings, as well. The two guys who raised Christian in their London apartment, and travelled with him to Africa to help with his transition to the jungle are wonderfully compassionate, and their devotion to their friend is heart-warming. And then there is the man who was Christian's liaison between human and lion society, George Adamson. The mission could never have succeeded, or even been initiated, without his wisdom, experience, tenacity, and dedication to animals he had once hunted. Also noteworthy are the two actors who introduced Christian's owners to Adamson. They contributed their own time and resources to get the project started, and made this documentary to help fund it.

This is a factual, honest account of Christian's time with people and the first year or so of his adjustment to life in Kenya, learning to take care of himself. As such, it relates the challenges Christian faced, as well as a couple of very sad events. But it is ultimately a story that will make you feel good. It will leave you with an entirely new perception of wild animals, and make you wonder just how different they really are from us.

You will care about these lions, especially the star of the film. This smart, friendly, spirited, remarkable fellow was a purely good creature who understood, innately, what friendship really is. You will not forget Christian the lion.

Christian the Lion is a worldwide sensation, and this is the film with the famous "reunion clip" at the end. Also, check out another documentary film, you could call it a prequel to this one, focusing on George Adamson, who is the man they brought Christian to in Africa. The Lions Are Free shows Adamson with 7 of the tame lions used in making the movie Born Free, after Adamson had got them to living as a natural pride in the wilds of Africa. They also did not forget their human friends.

This is the story I was looking for! The entire story of Christian from the beginning, including the clip we've all seen on You Tube. I loved this movie! Sat down and watched it as soon as it arrived. Shows all the problems and joys involved in re-introducing Christian to the wild, including the emotions of John and Ace during the process. There is also plenty of information from and about George Adamson and his work. Some very sad moments mixed in with the joy. What a fabulous film; I loved it and you will tool

"Christian the Lion at World's End" is an awesome documentary video. The relationship between the humans and lions in this film is unbelievable. I had no idea that lions are so capable of loving and interacting with people with such gentleness and playful enthusiasm. This Love and regard for their human family extended after the necessary introduction into the wild and tears will fall when reconnection occurs.

I watched this with my husband, son and his girlfriend. The friendship between "Boy" and "Christian" moved all of us, as did the paternal care they both gave to the young cubs featured. A classic, historical journey full of Love, Tragedy and Relationships that are beyond belief. A Must-See. (By the way, my son and his girlfriend were so impressed by the film, that they asked to borrow it to show their friends)

I was captivated by the clip on YouTube of Christian the Lion. I was excited to get this full version of the documentary. I'm a long time fan of George & Joy Adamson and enjoyed seeing this documentary film I had not seen before. This will be of great interest to other fans of George's life's work or those who just love lions and Africa.

The first time I saw a video clip of Christian the Lion I said I have to have this!!! I have looked for a very long time for a complete video of the story that was affordable. I finally found it here at Amazon. I received my product in a timely manner. The video is new and was wrapped in plastic. I have not watched it yet but it is exactly what I have been looking for. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Read the book on Christian the Lion before viewing this video. The video was awesome to watch. Being animal lovers, we found this whole story absolutely remarkable. Christian's memory was greater than mine is! :) Christian's story is touching, and he was such a fun, loving and majestic animal. This is one video that will be watched over and over and over again. Highly recommend it along with the book on Christian!
