Not surprising that this manual would be excellent. Guthrie Veech is one of the great minds in Christianity today, and this manual is a perfect resource for any minister looking for answers in the "tough" situations.

Great edition, I own the last one and this is a major upgrade. This man is 100% Genious. Buy it.

As a chaplain it is nice to have a small book easy to carry that covers the basic issues of hospital chaplaincy. Chaplains need to deal with issues of suffering, comfort, sickness,life and death. This book spends a considerable part of the book covering these topics. Good for memorials and funerals. Many times you need a quick reference on a moments notice.

I was just starting my life in ministry when I purchased this and it really gave me ideas and helped with a wedding that I had to do only one week after getting started. Praise God for this resource and the writers who wrote it.

The first question to be asked by most is "what is the Christian Minister's Manual. The answer is, for the most part found in the title. It's a manual, a handbook, a guild for conducting life as a minister to God's people. Now we can deal with how to use our manual.
Simply put, you have to read the manual. This book is much more then a book on manners and customs. Carefully reading this book and applying to your life makes you a woman/man of God. It is difficult to explain how to use the manual without informing you of what is in it. The first lesson teaches us to focus on Christian ministry. Focusing on ministry means focusing on Christ, on love, on the word of God, on your own growth, on grace and knowledge, on faithfulness, on the lost, and last but not least prayer. The second lesson is on leadership in minister were we are taught how to be leaders in Christ's church. Then we look at accepting the call into ministry on the professional level. After we accept the call we should know that we will need help but who do we turn to. This manual explains well of who and what to turn to for assistance. You should by now that all you have to do is read and follow that which is outlined.
This manual even tells us what we should accomplish day one. On the first day we are given a step by step guide which if followed makes for one easy day and the start of prosperity for your ministry. After the first day we then need to know how to continue then forward. Say you are not really a people but you have been called and chosen to take part in the business of people. There`s a app for that. Here is a manual that tells you how to go about working effectively with people. In this book there is also a lesson on staff relations. This lesson is not just for the senior minister but for all of the staff of the church. If we want to know how to do ministry well the author and his contributors have provide it for us.
If the questions before you are, how do I manage my time as a minister? or what should the appearance of my family life present?. There's a plan for that. If you are like me the job of evangelizing is not a easy one. But yet we are told "Jesus' ministry focused on daily evangelism as he affected the lives of men and women. "That daily evangelism continued in the first-century church. His words in Mathew 28: 19 & 20 make evangelism the focus of the 21st- century". These words in quotation are found in the Christian Minister's Manual alone with many ways to carry out the commission. Can you believe it ? You and I can deliver the gospel and se to it that people begin to live a life in Christ by just following these tried and proven techniques. There's nothing to it but to do it.
When Jesus references the separation of sheep and the goats in Matthew 25:31-46, he makes it clear that it is our responsibility to minister to the sick and suffering. God through the spirit has given us many tools to love upon his people yet sometimes activating these tools maybe difficult for many. Guess what, "the how to" has been laid out for you. This great resource tells you how to explain sickness and suffering, how and when to visit the sick and shut-in, it even offers instructions on how to pray during such hard times. The book of James tells us "the prayer of faith shall save the sick". (James 5:15) but we have to know how to pray. Have you ever prayed that some was healed and lived longer but they died? When you prayed that prayer before a family they just know that mother will get up gain. Or that grandfather will make it to Sunday dinner. Knowing how to pray before ever opening your mouth is vial to not only the faith of family but your faith. This manual will guide you in your role as minister in these hours.
Now the person has gone on to be with the Lord and you are the person called upon to tend to the family. I friend here, the Christian Minister's Manual, explains how to be there for them, again how to pray, and what scriptures are provided for us to comfort the family. Now you need to know how to conduct the service. Don't you dare fear. God has provided a manual for you. All you need to do is follow the plans prepared you by the man of God. It is here were you will find how to prepare the Obituary. Yes, it is here were you will find sermon outlines for the occasion. These outlines are for every type of person's death conceivable.
As a minister of Jesus Christ we have many hats to wear and knowing have to wear them well is of great benefit to those we sever. Our Christian text urges us to "study to show ourselves approved". I believe this command means not just the word of God but the lessons of those before us. All we have to do is pick the book and allow the lessons and guides to teach so that we can be our very best in sever and in love.

If you do Weddings and Funerals and the likes you shoud have one of these. It comes with a CD and you can print out documents with the Template. This is handy for using the right names etc.

I am very happy with the purchase. The CD makes it easy plan and print out your message. I have recommend it to my pastor.

This manual is great, It proveds a wonderfully detailed outline for all the ceremonies a ministers needs.

I'm a pastor and this manual was really worth getting. I'm not prepared to preform all types of ceremonies. It's written in modern language and not King James, which is hugely helpful!

It give you a good place to start on many different activities that you will be concerned with at one time or another as a minister/pastor/preacher/etc. The Disk gives lots of started forms that you can edit and make your own.

Christian Minister's Manual is exactly what the title states. If you are a practicing minister then you will want to add this book to your library.
