I have not used this set much yet but that is because my current project requires color and this set is all black and white. It is, however, a nice set.

The quality of the images is good. They people who organized them seemed to have some basic knowledge of the traditional iconography. The art comes with a book that has all the images making it easier to find what you are looking for. All in all, it is well planned.

There are gaps and omissions but this is a nice resource, especially for the price.

It doesn't contain the variety that i had hoped for, but for the price, this is a book of good resource.

I was looking for familiar Lent and Easter symbols, such as the Last Supper, Risen Lord, Mary Magdalene in the garden, and perhaps an Easter lily, and also hoped for manger scenes, Wise Men, and Advent symbols, but found none of those. I had hoped to use this collection as a resource to create a calendar page for a Protestant church newsletter, but most of the symbols are unfamiliar, even to this former Sunday School teacher.

As with all the Dover products that I have used over the course of the last 40+ years, this clipart book does not disappoint--at all. I added the plus to the title because in the beginning of the book are some symbols that would be useful for our Jewish brothers and sisters, too, although perhaps not enough to buy the whole set. I digitize embroidery for my embroidery machine, and the line art in this collection is clear and in the main simple enough for me to use. Of course its other uses are practically endless--a great addition to any graphics library.
