This book is exactly what I and many of my students--faithful Christians who are future teachers and principals in public schools--have needed. The combination of legal and educational counsel, offered in an unapologetic way but without any public school bashing, will prove extremely useful. Christian teachers need encouragement to be faithful witnesses (just as some other teachers, consciously or unconsciously, communicate to their students that faith is unimportant) without taking unfair advantage of their public trust; this book will help many to follow that difficult and demanding path. About the Author
Julia K. Stronks is a practicing attorney and assistant professor of political and international studies at Whitworth College. Gloria Goris Stronks is professor of education at Calvin College and is the author, coauthor, or editor of four books, including A Vision with a Task.

I originally bought this book for a class, but I know now that I would not be able to start a teaching career with out it. It will be useful to me as a teacher, or as a parent to children in the public system.

This book is a must read for any teacher who teaches in the public school and wants to "hang on" to their Christian values. In ways that only God can show you, you will be able to convey that love of Christ to the hundreds of children who come your way. No words.....just the love!
It encouraged me and assured me that there is great satisfaction in reaching out with the hands of Jesus.

Not a visually impared friendly book!,

I am sure this book is great in regards to it's content. However the publishers and/or Authors really should consider the readability of this book. If you are visually impared (I am legally blind) and would love to read this book, good luck. This book really should be offered in at least a large print format. Audio or on the Kindle would be an even greater help. I have the book but unfortunately I am unable to read it. Waste of money for me!
