I have been researching everything about being a Deist, because I am one and I wanted to know the original tenets, and I have been led to this book. It is known the Web/world over as the Bible of the Deist. Once I have read it fully, I will be able to give it a proper review. The original was written in Old English in the 18th century and, since I cannot get a copy of the original, I must resign myself to reading a translated copy. This wont be an issue of course, as I am used to a variety of translated sayings that end up meaning something else entirely and it always depends on the period of time that the original language was spoken. Knowing the period, and knowing the key phrases goes a long way in correcting any mistakes in translation that the modern author's COULD have made.

I did not want to skew the review of this book by givinig it a single star, so I went all out on 5. Essentially, this book is known as the Bible of the Deist and being such, is more important than the Amazon Review would lead one to believe.

I asked for this book for Christmas and received it as a gift. I was very much looking forward to reading it after having read the Amazon review. Unfortunately, when I started to read it I literally couldn't get my brain past the funky font that is used. Specifically, the letter "s" as used in the book looks like a lower case "f". I couldn't mentally adjust to this and therefore I was taken out of the flow of the book every time I came across an "s".
