Christianity and the New Age Religion: A Bridge Toward Mutual Understanding [Paperback]

L. David Moore (Author)

Book Description

January 1993
Christianity and the New Age Religion was an attempt to create peace between church Christianity and New Age Christianity. Its major effect has been to teach those who were staying in the church out of fear that they had to in order to love the Christ, that they could leave the church and feel even more of Christ's love. It has caused many people to leave the church with its dogmas and restrictive teachings, and to go out to where the Christ truly is. The Christ they have found is closer, more personal, more loving and more real to them.

About the Author

Dr. L. David Moore had a thirty-year carreer as a top executive in the American business system. He also spent over fifty years in mainstream Christianity, with over thirty years as Lay Minister and Adult Sunday School teacher. When he retired, he decided to spend his time determining if the teaching presented by today's church was the same as the teaching presented by Christ. After much study he became firmly convinced that it is not. He has presented the information developed during this quest in a series of four book, each of which stands alone, but each of which relates with the others. Through the research and the writing of these books, Dr. moore has become a much more spiritual man than he ever could have been had he stayed within the church. He considers himself to be a First Century Christian rather than a Sixth Century Christian as today's church-goers are because he rejects what the Early Church Fathers did during the first five hundred years of the church's existence.
