A view of prophecy some 30 years later..., December 16, 2008
This review is from: Christians Will Go Through the Tribulation: And How to Prepare for It (Paperback)
The book 'Christians Will Go Through the Tribulation' has been both a fascinating and useful read. The fascination standpoint comes from getting a 'view and feel' for how Christian prophecy writers viewed the times back in the late 1970's. The utility of the book is in its many tips and detailed plans of how to survive in a time of calamity. This portion of the book is relevant to both Christian and non-Christian alike. The reader will also get a biopic of just how far the pervasion of 'political correctness' has sunk into the minds of ordinary American's, without it seeming so. I purchased the book as an inexpensive means to bone up on survivalist tactics should the world economic system continue to spiral out of control; however, I also found the book to provide a modicum of comfort in spite of the turmoil surrounding us on all sides.

A POST-TRIBULATIONAL RAPTURE COMBINED WITH SURVIVALISM, September 27, 2010
James McKeever is an author, lecturer, and financial consultant, as well as Editor and publisher of the 'Endtimes News Digest.' He has written related books such as
Now You Can Understand the Book of Revelation and
Future Revealed:.
He states in the Introduction to this 1978 book, "This volume is designed to briefly present the case for the post-Tribulational Rapture so that Christians who find themselves in this position will have an opportunity to examine an alternative. For the readers of this volume who do (or will) then embrace the view that Christians will go through the Tribulation, this book also gives very practical suggestions on how to prepare for the catastrophes that Christians will be experiencing during the Tribulation. I deal with both physical preparation and the even more important spiritual preparation."
Here are some quotations from the book:
"As we can see, here Jesus will be coming in power and glory, there will be the sound of a great trumpet and His angels will gather together the Christians (the elect) from all over the earth. But back in verse 29 (of Matt 24) He said this could occur IMMEDIATELY AFTER the Tribulation." (Pg. 30)
"In my mind, if an event as gigantically important as the Rapture of the Church occurred at the beginning of the Tribulation, it would have to be included in the Book of Revelation." (Pg. 31)
"In (Rev 20) verse 3 we see that some Christians come to life and reign with Christ for a thousand years. Verse 5 tells us that this is the FIRST resurrection. There could not be a resurrection at the beginning of the Tribulation, or this one spoken of in Revelation 20 would not be the FIRST." (Pg. 45)
"The exhortation to 'endure to the end' and the special warning about the leading astray of, 'if possible, even the elect' (Matt 24:12,13,24) highlight the danger of dismay and loss of faith on the part of whatever saints do find themselves in the last great time of testing." (Pg. 51-52)
"1 Corinthians 15 states that Christians who have died will be raised imperishable, and Christians who are alive will be changed, at the last trumpet. This means that these events occur either at the seventh trumpet in Revelation, or after that." (Pg. 311)
"I do not believe that the restrainer (of 2 Thess 1:6-10) is the Holy Spirit nor that He will be taken during the Tribulation. One reason for this is that there will be people who become Christians DURING the Tribulation. The Bible clearly says that no one can come to Christ unless the Spirit draws him." (Pg. 331)
"However, the problem in reconciling this to a post-Tribulation Rapture is that we would know that Christ was coming back seven years after the Tribulation began, and therefore it wouldn't be sudden or take us by surprise... However, I do not think that we will be able to know exactly when the Tribulation begins. Christians should be able to discern the times and seasons and possibly get a rough idea as to when Christ might return." (Pg. 333)
