DINAH ROE is an independent scholar whose interests include the nineteenth-century novel, Victorian poetry, and the devotional prose
works of Christina Rossetti. She is currently editing and introducing the
forthcoming Penguin Classics edition of Christina Rossetti's Selected
Poems.
