"Christina's Courage" is a well written book about a girl who dares to dream. This masterpiece describes the fears and daring events of a young girl who is dealing with a green horse. I highly recommend this book to avid horse-lovers

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Christina's Courage (Thoroughbred Series #27) (Paperback)
This is one of the best THOROUGHBRED books, though most of them are "one of the best"! Anyone who does or admires showjumping should read and own this book. It is awesome! Sterling isn't behaving, and Christina is fustrated. It will take a lot of work to make Sterling a good jumper again. There are lots of surprises in here.

These books rock!!!,

I don't get it why some people say these books rot. They're great! I love the eventing ones just as much as the racing ones, maybe even more because in the racing ones the horses were winning all the time. I know the old characters should still be here but give the new characters a chance! So far they're proving to be better than the old ones! But in #34 I don't know if they're talking about Wonder's Pride or Pride's Chance. On the cover of this book Christina and Sterling really look like a team. For all those people that say Christina is a brat, she was a bit bratty in this one, and in the beginning of #25 when she gets really mad at Melanie. I like the new authors, but I thought that Alice Leonhardt's 'Riding Academy' series was good. Allison Estes is a good author, too. When the Thoroughbred series was devoted to racing, I liked it better when Joanna Campbell wrote them. But the only thing is, is when they didn' consult Ms. Campbell before changing the series to eventing. Please, everyone, give this series a chance! It'll turn out great! I collect these books by the bagfull, I swear I do!

What is everyone's deal?,

Okay, I want the racing and Cindy and Samantha back. But, I really still love the TB books just the same! I think it's kind of interesting how they mix up Christina's horse life with her love, but I would much rather perfer the horse life over love life any day. JOANNA PLEASE COME BACK!

I haven't read this book, but have read all the others. What happened to all our old favorites? Tor, Mandy, Shining, Glory, Storm, Champion. . . GONE????? It seems a unique and wonderful series has been taken over by a horrid new writer who hasn't bothered to read the earlier books!!!

alright....,
By Dani (Ashland, MA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Christina's Courage (Thoroughbred Series #27) (Paperback)
This book was okay, nothing more. Although the books do get much better as they turn to racing again, these "new" tb books arn't totally horriable. I miss the old characters. Sure give the new ones a chance and all, but it would help to know what happend to the old ones. like Cindy, before book 43! Also i don't know if anyone else picked up on this, i know i only did cause i made a list of all the horses in the book for one of the new authors, but on page....16 Missy's mom is names Miss Respectable, and on page 125 her name is Miss America. Just thought that i would let you all know. The books DO get better, so for all of you who agree with me that the new books are no more then "alright" keep reading. Have faith!! P.S. Christina is a total...well i don't think that i am allowed to say it in a book review, so i will stick with majorly SELF-CENTERED, tactless little brat!! She wants everything her way and her way only, and she wantes it right then and there, kinda the way a 3-6 year old child would behave

I love the new books just as much as the old books! All of these books are good, and I love horses and Eventing just like Christina. I think it's great that Sterling and Christina make such a great team. Christina's not a brat and Sterling is great! I highly think everyone who loves horses should read these books--especially this one. They're all so interesting and exciting!
