Book Description

October 28, 2008

New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan is "a magnificent storyteller" (Romantic Times) whose "talents seem to grow with every book" (Library Journal). Now, her magnificent novellas of dark forces and Christmas magic are brought together for the first time in a stunning hardcover edition. Each one will hold you in its thrall. . . .

After the Music

Terrified by mysterious threats, Jessica Fitzpatrick takes her twin wards to the island mansion of their estranged father, Dillon Wentworth, a famous musician who shut out the world after a fire claimed his wife's life and left him disfigured. With Christmas approaching, the spark between Dillon and Jessica might light the future, but the evil machinations of those who share his late wife's love of the occult may plunge the family into darkness -- unless a Christmas miracle occurs. . . .

The Twilight Before Christmas

Bestselling novelist Kate Drake, one of seven sisters with amazing powers of witchcraft, wants to open a bookstore in a charming but run-down mill in her California hometown. Decorated former U.S. Army Ranger Matt Granite, now a contractor, doesn't mind helping -- and getting closer to Kate. But when an earthquake exposes a crypt in the mill's foundation, a centuries-old evil threatens to destroy both Christmas and the gift of soul-searing passion Kate's hometown hero wants her to keep forever. . . .

Rocky Mountain Miracle

When Cole Steele, a womanizer rumored to have killed his father, meets Maia Armstrong, a veterinarian rumored to practice magic, the sparks that fly could melt all the snow on his Wyoming ranch. And when an injured horse brings them together, Cole can't help but believe that Maia casts spells on animals and men. What else could explain the burning passion he feels for her and the thawing of his heart around the holidays?

Mysterious and magical, like the holiday itself, these novellas reveal Christine Feehan to be a writer of extraordinary gifts.

5.0 out of 5 stars A hard copy edition of previous Christmas stories, November 9, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a nicely bound hard copy book that contains three previously published Christmas stories written by the very talented Christine Feehan.

The first story "After the music" was originally published in 2001 in a Christmas anthology called "A very Gothic Christmas." The story revolves around 2 children going back to an island where their father has lived in seclusion since a fire claimed the life of their mother many years ago. Bringing them to their father is a woman who was just a teen when the fire took place but has always had a crush on the children's very famous musician father. There are many twists and turns in this story before you find out what really happened the night of the fire. It is a delightful story that is both romantic and mysterious.

The second story is "The Twilight before Christmas." This story was previous published in 2003 by Pocket Books. The story is about Kate Drake one of the "Drake Sisters" that Ms. Feehan is writing a series about. Kate is a shy successful beautiful writer who comes home to spend Christmas with her sisters. She literially runs into Matt who crashes his car when he is spending too much time looking at her and not the road. Kate is one of seven magical sisters who each have their own unique witchy talents. Matt and she get together romantically and together they help to solve a Christmas Mystery which threatens the lives of the towns people.

The third and final story is called "A Rocky Mountain Christmas." It was previously published in 2004 in an anthology titled "The Shadows of Christmas Past." It is the story of 2 brothers who had a horrible childhood at the hands of their manipulative cruel now deceased father. They have never had a joyful Christmas but with the help of a beautiful Vet. who goes out to their ranch in a snow storm to help them with an animal, they will solve a potenially deadly mystery and become a real family.

If you are a Feehan fan you will welcome the opportunity to have these stories in a hardback format. Ms. Feehan never writes a bad story.

I really enjoyed this treasury. I wanted something Christmasy with paranormal storylines. All three stories were hard to put down. The author has a way of making you feel as though you are there with the characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars beautifully written, December 23, 2009
I found that I love her writing. I started with her Dark Series and read this one shortly after. I like this just as much.
