5.0 out of 5 stars It got a hold of me!, July 31, 2004

This is a pretty neat concert of her 1984 solo album, along with a few Fleetwood Mac tunes towards the end. This tape also contains 2 promo music videos "Got A Hold On Me", & "Love Will Show Us How".

4.0 out of 5 stars Great performance with bad photography, May 6, 2005

This review is from: Christine McVie - The Video Album [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I am a huge fan of Christine McVie, solo and with Fleetwood Mac, and I saw her in concert during this tour in the early '80s to promote her solo album. She plays and sings beautifully in this live concert video; the song selection is very satisfying; the sound is good (Christine's keyboards are always very prominent in the mix, which wasn't always the case with live Fleetwood Mac); and the performances from her band (including Todd Sharp, George Hawkins, Billy Burnette and a guest appearance by Mick Fleetwood) are also first-rate. What isn't first-rate about this video, unfortunately, is the photography. Christine spends most of the video in darkness. You can hardly even see her face most of the time. It is extremely frustrating to watch. It is almost better to just listen to the audio and not even look at the TV screen. This is the reason I can't rate the video 5 stars.
