A is for Angel who graces the tree, B is for Bells that chime out in glee . . .
The pleasures and traditions of Christmas are celebrated anew in this family book, charmingly illustrated with turn-of-the-century lithographs from Austria's Wiener Werkstätte in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Now all of these popular images have been gathered into a lovely small gift book, its cover enhanced with "twinkling" foil candlelight. The rhyming text, based on "A Christmas Alphabet" by Carolyn Wells (1862-1942), recalls gentle Christmas memories that hark back to a simpler time.
