About the Artist
Broadway veteran Clark Sterling is the recipient of three Bay Area Critics Circle Awards for his starring roles in musical theater productions. A successful producer of live entertainment for special events and two previous CDs, Sterling assembled an all-star collection of favorite San Francisco singers for this unique holiday compilation album, and wrote the lyrics for the title track "Christmas by the Bay." Danielle Bixby has starred in Bay Area theater productions such as "Phantom" and has appeared at the Plush Room in the critically acclaimed revue "Romantic Notions", as well as her one woman show, "Pure Imagination". Elizabeth Ann Campisi made her New York debut as Nessarose in the final workshop of the new Broadway musical Wicked. Performing in professional productions from age fifteen, she has starred in over twenty Bay Area and national productions. Tim Hockenberry has shared the stage with acts such as Robert Cray, David Sanborn, George Benson, BB King, Ben Harper, Roberta Flack, and Bonnie Raitt and also works for numerous advertising agencies in San Francisco both as a commercial singer and music producer. Michelle Jordans theatrical appearances include the Oakland Ensemble Theater Company's production of Ain't Misbehavin , the San Francisco production of Cole, TheatreWorks productions of Hi Hat Hattie, Go Down Garvey and Dreamgirls, for which she won a Critic's Circle Award for her portrayal of the character Effie. Meg Mackay has been a dynamic presence on the San Francisco cabaret and musical theater scene for 20 years and is the winner of 7 Bay Area Critics Circle Awards for her work in Hello Dolly!, Roberta, The Grass Harp, A Karen Carpenter Christmas, And What, Give Up Show Biz?, Torch Song Trilogy, The World Goes Round, She Loves Me and Putting It Together. Stephanie Rhoads is Producing Artistic Director of 42nd Street Moons "Lost Musical Series" in San Francisco and is also a well-loved Bay Area performer. She recently completed an acclaimed run as the Baroness Elsa in the The Sound of Music at Broadway By the Bay. Kenny Washington has performed in nightclubs and for local and national recording projects. He is currently the featured vocalist at San Franciscos world famous "Top of the Mark," at the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel. With her husband, pianist/arranger Mike Greensill, Wesla Whitfield performs annually at the Hollywood/Roosevelt Cinegrill, The Algonquin Hotels Oak Room, Blues Alley in Washington DC, Jazz Alley in Seattle, and for two months each winter in San Francisco at the Plush Room as well as numerous concert venues throughout the States and Europe.
