After earning four gold or platinum albums, singer-songwriter-guitarist Chris Isaak put down his surfboard, turned up the air conditioner and laid down Chris Isaak Christmas, featuring 13 traditional songs (including 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town' with Stevie Nicks) and five originals the lonely at Christmas 'Washington Square', 'Hey Santa!' and 'Christmas On TV', the spiritual 'Brightest Star' and the maybe-next-year 'Gotta Be Good'. If ever you've had the chance to see Chris in concert you know about his sense of humor. Not only can he sing, write songs and play - he makes you laugh. What would you want more?

Chris and Christmas go well together. His own songs make a perfect fit with the classics. Some happy, some sad, some yearning or loving. Chris' warm voice, the soft guitar. Beautiful music for an evening with your loved one.

The booklet has a few nice pictures of him, the band and a little dog celebrating on the beach. Obviously they had a good laugh.

This Australian pressing has 2 extra tracks: Santa Bring My Baby Back and I'll Be Home For Christmas. Since both are real nice, I prefer this one to the standard American one.

This CD is great! I own all of Chris Isaak's CDs, and found this one to be as good as the rest! The extra songs on this import made it even better!

Love a particular song written by the artist "Brightest Star" as if written about Jesus, for Jesus. Would be a beautiful piece for Church. Nicest song Chris has written - opinion.
