5.0 out of 5 stars Christmas is a time for miracles
Pete and Ray are brothers who are involved in a long standing feud which started when Ray married Pete's ex-girlfriend. Pete was already upset over his wife leaving and saw this as a double betrayal. Pete's son, Michael, was also hurt at his mother's exit and got into trouble with the police. Christmas provisions have to be delivered to Alaska which means Pete and Ray...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not What I Expected
I was disappointed with this one...the storyline was okay, but I was surprised at the amount of foul language. It says "not-rated", so it's a little misleading. If you're particular about what your kids see these days, I'd skip this one. I would not consider it a good, "family Christmas movie". There are too many that are much better to fill that...

5.0 out of 5 stars Christmas is a time for miracles, October 25, 2003

Pete and Ray are brothers who are involved in a long standing feud which started when Ray married Pete's ex-girlfriend. Pete was already upset over his wife leaving and saw this as a double betrayal. Pete's son, Michael, was also hurt at his mother's exit and got into trouble with the police. Christmas provisions have to be delivered to Alaska which means Pete and Ray have to work together. On the way they have to stop to pick up Ray's estranged Wife who is pregnant. On the journey they have to learn to forgive each other because only by working together can they survive the journey. Tom Wopat and John Schneider are excellent as feuding brothers who love each other really. Kim Delaney is perfect as the alienated and pregnant wife. Zachary Ansley is great as the rebellious teenage son. Hoyt Axton is fantastic as their late father's business partner. If you like warm and fuzzy moments then you will love this film. A great film for all the family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christmas Season, January 1, 2002
By
Denise Mendoza (Trabuco Canyon, California United States) - See all my reviews
This movie reminds us of the reasons for the Holiday season. It brings back the family and should be watched by adults and children of all ages. It is a current movie that updates "It is a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. I can't begin my Holiday season without watching this movie. My children look forward to watching this movie every year and they are now teenagers. I highly recomend this movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFULLY TOUCHING FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON, December 29, 2004

Yup! fueding brothers - I don't think they even understand why.
Willow Creek - a little town in Alaska that is losing its Christmas spirit.

A teenage boy feeling rejected by his father [Tom Wopat] and not knowing how to express himself.
Then we have Pete's ex-girlfriend and Ray's estranged wife - talk about a mix-up. Complete with flash-backs to bring us up-to-date.

Their father's partner asks the men to drive a semitruck load of christmas gifts north to Alaska - to put their fueding aside for this run.
Of course, Ray [John Schneider] takes a little side trip to Reno much to his nephews glee. Yup! trouble again.

Of prime importance is the lose of "Christmas Spirit" both in the town of Willow Creek and by the brothers.

The slide of the semi into a snow bank was sure worth it.

How it comes back into their lives is the wonderful point of the story, an amazingly touching.

Definitely Recommended +++++

Pete and Ray are brothers. They have to transport christmas provisions to Alaska. Pete and Ray have been involved in a feud for a while. On the way Pete has to deal with a rebellious son,
a brother who is a magnet for trouble and his ex-girlfriend who is now his sister-in-law. Ray has to deal with an alienated and pregnant wife. Ray was afraid of the awesome responsibility of parenthood and he was also worried he wouldn't be as good a father as his brother was. Pete's son, Michael, was still hurt because his mother had left a year ago. This film is about people who have to learn to forgive each other for various things. Only by working together can they survive the journey!
Tom Wopat and John Schneider are excellent as feuding brothers.
Hoyt Axton is great as Pete and Ray's late father's business partner. Kim Delaney is perfect as the estranged and pregnant wife. Zachary Ansley is fantastic as the disrupted teenager.
If you like warm and fuzzy moments you will love this. With John
Schneider and Tom Wopat starring in it what more could you want in a film?

"Christmas comes to Willow Creek" is a great holiday movie that the entire family can enjoy. John Schneider and Tom Wopat (Dukes of Hazzard) star as battling brothers, who only through the spirit of Christmas are able to end their fued, and save the town of Willow Creek. A must see for anyone filled with the joy of Christmas.

3.0 out of 5 stars Keep on Truckin' this Christmas, December 16, 2005
This review is from: Christmas Comes to Willow Creek (DVD)
What a great story... Two brothers must find a common bond to bring joy to a town down on their luck. And we are not talking about the girl that they both love.

When it comes to Christmas movies, this is one of them. This movie warms my heart.

Plus can you go wrong with a movie staring the guy who wrote, "Joy To The World?" Cause Jeremiah really was a bullfrog.

The only sad thing about this movie is that there is no soundtrack on CD format.

4.0 out of 5 stars Been looking for it for years., December 13, 2004
This review is from: Christmas Comes to Willow Creek (DVD)
I actually saw this movie when it first came out. I was 14 years old. I've been trying to remember the name and find it ever since. I'm now 31 and just found and ordered it, I can't wait for it to come. I remember it as being a wonderfully touching movie about two brothers at odds with one another. A movie that shows how people who really love one another can put aside their differences and come together. Once again this are just what I remember from watching this movie more than 15 years ago, I can't wait to get it!!!
