My 6-year-old enjoys reading this book & my daughter did about that age also. The pictures in place of many of the words make it quite fun for children. Scholastic recommends it for Preschool-Grade 1. In my opinion it's a bit wordy & not an easy read for the younger children in that age group. They'll have fun with the pictures but will need a lot of help with the words. My son is in 1st grade & it's finally about the right level for him although I still have to help out quite a bit. I also found a few errors in the book. Words in place of pictures when pictures had been used in the rest of the story & little stuff like that but still they were errors nonetheless. Any fan of Scooby Doo should enjoy this book if they are aged 4-8. I would recommend this book but just know that if you get it for the younger ones that you'll still be helping out quite a bit.

We absolutly love this book. The pictures clues are such a fun way to help my son learn to read. He helps me read the story and gets so excited.

My 4-year-old LOVES Scooby-Doo, and he enjoyed reading this book with me. He recognized some sight words from preschool and got the hang of the pictures representing words throughout the story.

I purchased this as a gift for my niece, who is in kindergarten. It is just adorable and she loved it! She is a scooby fanatic and was excited that she could really help "read."

Very easy for 6 yr old to read through fast. Picture clues in place of some of the words makes reading more fun to kids.
