Gr. 3-6. One of the more attractive craft books to come around, this features large, crisp, and very attractive color photographs that will give kids a clear picture of what the finished product will look like. And unlike some craft book offerings, these are projects that kids really will be able to do: felt tree ornaments, ribbon rosettes, and Santa puppets, to name a few. The instructions (both written and visual) are easy to follow, and kids are informed (though they might have to look closely) when adult supervision is necessary. The only drawback for libraries is the patterns at the back of the book, which some "crafty kids" may be tempted to cut out. But even the authors recommend tracing the patterns, and most patrons will do just that. Ilene Cooper
