This is a level 2 book, I would say the higher reader on level 2 could read on their own. There isn't repetitive words but just simple but not to 'choppy' sentences.

In this story Andy has to go away for Christmas but can't take any of the toys. Woody is very upset and misses Andy very much. The other toys decide to have their own Christmas celebration to help Woody get over his loneliness. And it works... Teaching Woody that although he misses Andy that he can still enjoy the friends around him and have fun.

What's not to love? It actually uses the same pictures from a board book we have "Woody's White Christmas" so my 2 year old recognized the pictures and it made him more interested in listening to the story.

We did Christmas books as an advent calendar and this one was included. It was cute for what I was doing.
