My daughter Hilary & I poured our heart & soul into this project. We tried to create a similar atmosphere that we experience in our home during the holiday season. These are our interpretations of both traditional carols and contemporary songs. The highlight for me is the title song composed by Hilary & her husband Kevin DiSimone. We're very confident that this CD will be a perfect way to help you celebrate the holidays. Seasons greetings!!

Bob James

Ahh... fire on, tree lit, presents wrapped, children in bed - sit back on your comfy chair, put this CD on and press play... enter a wonderful world of top flight, tinsel-covered fusion jazz!

Bob James is not new to this kind of music genre.

He has a few Christmas songs floating around out there featuring his distinctive keyboard playing, including two appearing on the 1997 compilation "Warner Bros. Christmas Jazz Party",((one track "Personent Hodie (Sing Aloud on This Day)", with the Bob James Trio and a duet with banjo master Bela Fleck, for a totally new spin on "White Christmas" ), as well he released another succesful festive albums with the jazz supergroup group Fourplay.

This one, anyway, is his first solo holidays offering, featuring her daughter Hilary, a fantastic musician and sensitive, distinctive vocalist.

The CD is produced by Kevin DiSimone, Hilary's husband (Bob's son-in-law).

Bob's and Hilary's previous album, Flesh and Blood was an instant classic.

Perfect for chillin' out during the busy Christmas season !

If you are a fan of Bob and even if you aren't, this is the BEST holiday CD right now.

Hilary's voice is so smooth and you can't help but make it part of your holiday CD collection.

Despite the critical success of "Flesh And Blood", she hasn't taken off yet and she still has the best sound that's slightly R&B but also just "good listening" for everyone.

Hilary James a wonderful singer! I can't praise her enough. She is so pleasing to the ears. A Must have for anyone's Christmas CD Collection. Every song is so good!

This may be stretching the 'jazz' category even wider than usual, but James is one of the world's leading jazz heyboard player, and his concept of a Christmas album is so much more sophisticated than the norm that it's the only possible choice for this season.

The 14 tracks include a spread of music from traditional carols to classical music (Bach) and some new stuff co-written with Kevin DiSimone.

Some of the greatest jazz musicians like Dave Koz and Chuck Loeb lend a hand.

There is an irresistible feeling of serenity and calm about the whole thing.

Bob you are the MAN!! Hilary, your voice is Heavenly! The music and arrangements are first rate!

A Must have for anyone's Christmas CD Collection.

The first time I listened to the Christmas Eyes CD, I knew that this would be the one I want to hear first and last during the Christmas season. The combination of classic and contemporary numbers masterfully portrayed through the awesome talents of Bob James, Kevin DiSimone, and the voice of a living angel, Hilary James DiSimone, provides a holiday music experience of Grammy proportions. Listen carefully to the lyrics of the title cut, "Christmas Eyes". It IS the feeling of Christmas that few can describe, but it is a feeling that we all know and want to share with everyone we love.

This is easy listening Christmas Music with new subtle arrangements to familiar songs. The title song Christmas Eyes is beautiful and Hiliary's voice is full and rich.

I bought this CD last Christmas and just fell in love with it. I bought more to give as gifts. I'm back this year to buy more to give as gifts again. You are likely to already be a fan of the incredible Bob James, but if you've never heard his daughter Hilary sing... wow, you're in for a treat. Her voice is like silk. She's just amazing. Their song 'Christmas Eyes' is so original and beautiful. This whole CD is simply awesome.
