This album is absolutely a must have for the upcoming Christmas and Holiday season. You start listening to the music thinking it's great for backgroud music for a party or a family get together, then you find yourself focusing on the music. Really fantastic. Mr. Smith is a phenomenal musician. Great selection of songs and the entire album is very well balanced. Congratulations on a stellar performance.

Doug Smith is in my opinion one of the premiere guitarists. The music on this cd is not just a rehash of Christmas songs you have heard before. Doug has taken each song and transformed it into his own. When you listen to the music and close your eyes you feel both the major additions and the subtle nuances that are included in the songs and you will get the sense that he does not play music just for the money, but truly loves to play guitar. He becomes one with his guitar and the feelings are expressed through his music. The only thing missing for this (and his other cds) is that you do not get to see him perform. This cd will be a great addition to your Christmas collection. If you have yet to experience his other cds I highly recommend you do. You will not be disappointed.

This is sure to become your all-time favorite Christmas Album! Doug Smith is a virtuoso, playing with precision, elegance and romantic soul. Few people have ever so completly mastered their instrument. This delightful selection of tunes is perfectly interpreted yet retains a playful exuberence that leaves the listener aching for more. If you want the best, look no further. This is absolutely it!

Was very blessed to buy this for myself after enjoying "A guitar for Christmas" which I initially thought was better, but now I like this one. Buy both if you love acoustic guitar played masterfully. This Music was the best gift I had this Christmas, other than family being together and the knowledge of the Savior who came for me.
