Wonderful, uplifting music for any holiday season. Anger and the gang are back once again to play for the world renditions from an antique musical past that are positively infectious. Phil Aaberg's original work, 'Charity', the Heritage group's playful 'Christmas Eve' and the hand-clapping beat of 'Go Tell It To The Mountain' are among my favorites. A beautifully crafted and unique recording.

Devotees of the Winter Solstice series should enjoy this CD as well. While it is more folk oriented than the Windham Hill collections and does contain more specifically Christmas music, it does have a similar feel and lilt to it. It is a further welcome change from the standard, run-of-the-mill holiday fare.

Hands down *the* best Holidays album we own. Virtuoso performers, songs that are neither old nor hackneyed.. just buy it. You'll love it.

When I first heard this wonderful holiday cd, I had a hard time wrapping a genre around it. It evokes Appalachia, blue grass, and traditional country. However, as you listen, it is modern and unique. If you want to embrace something new yet is connected to our "heritage" of christmas music, this is it. Planning to chase down the artists to hear what they are doing now.
