If you're looking for a way to create a little family togetherness during the holidays, try Christmas in a Box, a board game that challenges you to compete for properties and accumulate wealth. Instead of acquiring titles to Park Place and Boardwalk as in Monopoly, you'll be coveting properties named O' Christmas Tree and Santa Claus. Instead of developing your properties with houses and hotels, you'll up their value with presents and Christmas trees. You won't go to jail in this game, but you may get stuck in a place called Naughty. The last player left in the game wins. (Or, if you're short on time, you can play the one-hour version, in which the person with the most wealth at the end of the hour is the winner.) Designed for 2 to 6 players. --Elisabeth Fredrickson

It's Christmas whenever you play this game! Christmas in a Box is a great Holiday Monopoly game. It's fun to play and, unlike regular Monopoly, doesn't take overly long to play. Find out who's 'Naughty' or 'Nice' as you collect presents, decorate your house and visit Santa Claus all from the comfort of your own home. Our grandkids like to play the game with us but they can and do play the game by themselves. It keeps them occupied so we can do other things - like, rest! Christmas In A Box keeps them and their visiting friends happily entertained during Christmas break from school, while at the same time, helping us keep our sanity intact for at least one more day! Like the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Monopoly Game and the TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS Board Game is one that won't just be tossed to the side once it's opened. The I Spy Christmas: A Book of Picture Riddles along with one of the games makes a nice Christmas gift. ~ Mrs. B.
