My thoughts: This delightful book is full of holiday cheer. Its message that a person's worth is measured by inner beauty and character, not by outward appearances and one's station in life, is a wonderful reflection of the spirit of Christmas. I love the author's style of writing, which made the story flow so smoothly and filled it with such vivid details that the setting came alive off the pages.
